Lanbi has undergone a Research and Development process for upgrading its current lathe machines in order to offer the complete process of ball stud manufacturing. We have opted for combining all the needed processes to manufacture and ensure the best quality of the ball stud in only one installation. The following processes are carried out: Shaft Machining Ball Machining Thread Rolling Quality control (dimensional and crack checking) Fully Automated, no operators Cycle Time 10 sec-part With the new design, our clients will be able to significantly reduce costs and time, giving them the edge over the competitors to better compete in the demanding automotive market.

LANBI has recently supplied a Suspension Ball Joint Assembly Machine to an OEM Ball Joint manufacturing company. The parts processed in this machine are assembled in PSA cars. One operator loads some components manually to the machine and then all the operations are carried out automatically around a rotary table. Torque control and Axial End Play tests are done and unloading is also automatic separating rejects. Full traceability is included in the machine, providing graphics for Rolling, Torque control and Axial End Play
After a Research & Development process, improving the design of our lathes for Ball Studs, 3 new lathes have been delivered in October to an OEM Ball Joint manufacturing company. These New Generation CNC Lathes include Shank machining and Ball cutting and Burnishing, with Robotized handling and turrets for tool change. Recently, LANBI has been awarded with 4 “Full Automatic Ball Stud Manufacturing Cells” including 8 New Generation Lathes, 4 Dimensional Control Stations, 1 Thread roller and full automatic Palletizing solution. These machines will be delivered middle 2017. In this way, LANBI has consolidated company strategy, as specialist supplier for Ball Joints manufacturing processes (Assembly Lines, CNC machining Transfers and CNC lathes).
LANBI has got sales of 7 Million Euro between January and April 2016, which means a new record for the company. LANBI has recently delivered 2 Automatic Palletized Lines for Ball Joint Assembly and Control for a leading Northamerican multinational company in the field. Along 15 stations the ball joint is assembled, thermal calibrated and controlled, storing all the resulting data related to each part in a PC. Finally the part is automatically palletized in boxes. By means of 6 robots, the lines are producing each 10 seconds one Front Lower Suspension Ball Joint and one Front Upper suspension Ball
During 2015, LANBI has developed New Generation Lathes for Ball Stud turning and burnishing, integrating Robotized handling and servocontrolled turrets for tool change. Thanks to these upgrades, LANBI new lathes are generating big interest on Ball Joint manufacturers, being best example of it, the 3 new orders signed during second half of 2015 with Ball Joint OEM companies.
